Welcome,we are currently busy in the areas "XML and Databases" and "Database supported filesystems". With BaseX we are developing a native, open source XML Database. DeepFS allows to query your filesystem and file contents with XPath and XQuery. Next to that, we focus on efficient management of XML documents by using XML labeling and compaction techniques.

7 - 9 Juli in Birmingham Ramez Alkhatib presents his recent research on "Compacting XML Structures Using a Dynamic Labeling Scheme"
Christian Grün becomes W3C invited expert. Christian has joined the XML Query Working Group as an invited expert. He will contribute to the completion of the upcoming XQuery Full-Text Recommendation.
