Bachelor Degree program in Information Engineering
Currently more information is produced every year than all documents ever created by people before: meteorological data, business data, demoscopic data, electronic performance data, medical data, etc. Huge volumes of data are created every day in all areas of life and work.
Information Engineering focuses on the value-added process, whereby data is processed and tailored to suit needs. This involves extracting, processing and visualising the relevant data from great quantities of data.
Ten professors, who research in the field of visualisation and exploration of large data quantities to a unique amplitude in Germany, hereby attaining international recognition, are able to offer top-quality training.
Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering
The Bachelor Degree program in Information Engineering encompasses
- six terms and can be started in the winter term
- the three-term basic study period is followed by
- project-oriented in-depth coursework,
- which is concluded with the Bachelor thesis.
Both sections of the program of study include coursework from different departments.
The following graphic demonstrates the course of studies during the basic study period and program of in-depth coursework. The columns represent the terms. The height or size of the squares demonstrates the relation between topics.
