Dr. Vlad Hosu

I am developing models for visual quality assessment. This requires an understanding of technical and aesthetic quality in view of human visual perception. As a member of the SFB TRR 161, I've been exploring effective crowd-sourcing strategies for psychometrics, building representative datasets and designing predictive machine learning approaches.

Some of my previous work involves image super-resolution, aesthetics assessment, and computational lighting design.
