Research

The department pursues a joint research perspective in the area of methods and systems of visualization, analysis, exploration, and processing of large amounts of data. This joint research profile is reflected in the research of our work groups who work in different application areas such as big data, cyber-physical systems, health, network science or software certification. The department participates in many interdisciplinary projects, e.g. with the following disciplines: biology, chemistry, politics and public administration, economics, linguistics, psychology, sociology, sport science, literature, art, media, and history.
