Kilometer1 - the common startup initiative of the University and HTWG Konstanz

Studies and research are perfect starting points for innovative projects. The goal of Kilometer1 is to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and the start-up culture at both universities, as well as to motivate all university members to start up with diverse range of services.

Career orientation and key competence acquisition during your studies

For successful career orientation and a smooth entry into the (German) labour market, it is important to gain first work experience during your studies and also to acquire key competences relevant to employability.

The University of Konstanz therefore has a Career Service that provides comprehensive advice on career orientation and accompanies your transition from university to working life.

In this context, two certificate programmes for career orientation are particularly recommended, which have been developed to prepare students for their career entry step by step in a target-group-oriented way.

Profile+

For German-speaking students, we recommend the Profil+ programme: here you can set different accents for your career entry, depending on the field of study. A profile focus MINT is already being planned.

Career Passport Programme

For English-speaking students, we strongly recommend the Career Passport Program: a comprehensive module programme designed specifically to meet the needs of international degree-seeking students.
